Stay informed when others aren’t. This hands-on training focuses on monitoring and interpreting real-world radio signals — learning to pick up transmissions happening all around you and developing situational awareness when traditional communications fail.

- Real-time awareness during communications disruptions or network failures
- Meshtastic encrypted messaging via peer-to-peer mesh networks
Instructor: John Baldwin — former Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer, U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain, with 20+ years of military and government experience in naval security and communications.
Prerequisites: None. No HAM license required.

- Baofeng UV-5R radio (pre-programmed units available in limited quantity)
- Lilygo T-Echo Meshtastic device
