President Trump endorses raising minimum purchase age for AR-15s from age 18 to 21. Interview with Christa Farmer, who has been taking care of guns since she was 11, says the purchase age should stay at 18. Opponents say the rate of maturity between 18 to 21 is a vast difference, allowing for a lot of room for growth. Farmer counters that, “If we’re old enough to enlist and carry these weapons, I believe we are mature and responsible enough to own them in our personal lives as well.”
