Message from Executive Director Michael Schwartz in response to CA Shelter-in-Place Order

Friends,

Please understand what this order means. This is not a movie. There aren’t going to be military patrols in your neighborhood.

Do not blow this out of proportion. He is asking people to just stay at home as much as possible until further notice. You can still leave your house for necessary trips like groceries, banking, gas, etc.

Please do not spread misinformation or make this appear to be something it is not. Just take a minute, read this article, continue to communicate with others, and educate yourself on the details.

And please, if you need help now or weeks from now, let us or someone know.

I don’t care what time of day or night it is, if you are reading this and you’re in need and you don’t think you have any other options…call me or text me. I will do my best to help or find resources for whatever you are facing. You will never be alone.
